EggWorks

1996, Artist’s Studio
Installation: Eggs, chair, glass plate, red string, 2"x4" boards, fine Fishing line and neighbor’s fence

In the artist’s studio, an egg was supporting one leg of a chair. Another egg was under a long board in the middle, creating a pivot that balanced the board so that it stood parallel to the floor. A square of eggs was covered by a glass plate. An egg was balanced on a nail in the wall. Another egg appeared to be screwed into a light fixture on the ceiling and two chairs back to back held an egg up between them. A wooden board leaned against the corner of the room, from floor to ceiling, supported on the floor by an egg. Another board was resting against the wall, pressing against an egg at its top. A number of eggs were tucked into a neighbor’s chain-link fence, which could be viewed by looking out the window of the studio.
