Video Installation: 1 videotape, 7 monitors, 1 VCR, 1 electronic delay, 1 slide, 1 slide projector, water

Seven monitors in a horizontal row were lined up behind a large, square tank of water. The video of a train trip around Taiwan passed horizontally through the monitors, producing an illusion of the view from train windows. The video images were reflected in the water, shifting the viewer’s perspective to that of a person standing on a riverbank watching a train go by. A slide projection of a mountain was also seen both behind the monitors and reflected in the water.
