Installation: one unfinished beam, one culture dish with tree seedling. Proposal: A number of unfinished beams, same number of culture dishes of seedlings

One unstripped log, with bark partially intact, hangs from the ceiling above a petri dish containing a seedling. In this prototype, the single log and petri dish represent a group of logs to be suspended above a similar number of petri dishes. Visitors would move through a dead, silent forest hanging inches above a struggling forest of tomorrow.
